Lamentations 1:18

The Lord is righteous,
but I have rebelled against his mouth (commands).
Hear, I beg you (I implore you, listen to me), all you peoples,
and see my pain.
My virgins and my young men
have gone into captivity.
[The eighteenth Hebrew letter is: צ – tsade. The character depicts a fish hook or a man bowing in humility and often symbolizes righteousness. The word "righteous" begins with this letter. Here we see for the first time how the shock phase transitions into the reaction phase when we realize that it is actually we who have done wrong. What has befallen us is no longer blamed on someone else, see verse 13, but is explained by our disobedience to God's demands for righteousness.]
