Matthew 6:12

And forgive us [release us from] our debts (Gk. opheilema),
as we also have forgiven those who are indebted to us (literally: as we also released our debtors).
[To forgive (Gk. aphiemi) means to send away, let go, refrain from, and remit. It is God who forgives first, but for that forgiveness to be lasting, we cannot bear injustices against other people. This is clarified in a comment immediately after the prayer in verse 14.]
