Matthew 7:14

Too narrow is the gate
and narrow (compressed) [by the pressure of self-denial, see Acts 14:22]
the way that leads to life [God's rich and eternal life],
and few find it (seek and discover it)." [It takes no effort to live according to the ways of the world, but it takes discipline and training to walk in God's way, see Ex. 18:20; Deuteronomy 30:16; Prov 22:6; Ps. 1:1–2, 6; 2 Timothy 3:10. The word for gate used here in verses 13-14 is Gk. pyle. It describes the main gate into a city or kingdom, see Luke 7:12; Matt. 16:18.]
