Luke 6:31

[This verse has come to be known as "the golden rule," but Jesus was not the first to formulate such a thought. Those who listened to Jesus must have known the great rabbi Hillel, who many years earlier had summarized Moses' teaching with the words: "Do not do to your neighbor what you yourself hate. This is the whole Torah – the rest is commentary." Jesus' exhortation did not contain any prohibition. There is a big difference between avoiding doing harm and actively putting yourself in another person's situation and doing good! The golden rule forces us to ask the question: "How would I want to be treated if I were in my fellow human being's place?"]
"Whatever you want others to do for you,
do for them.
