John 15:6

If anyone does not remain (would remain) [continually wants to live] in me, he is thrown away (out) like a [broken] branch and withers, and they gather them up and throw them [such branches are gathered up and thrown] into the fire, and that [this particular individual branch – like the other withered branches] is burned up.
