John 19:30

Now when Jesus [therefore, see verse 28] had received the sour wine, he said, "It is finished [the price is fully paid, never to be paid again]!" Then he bowed his head and gave up his spirit [surrendered his spirit].
[The cause of death in crucifixion is suffocation. The body is positioned in such a way that the victim must constantly push himself up to breathe, leading to exhaustion and suffocation.]
