[Now James stands up. He is mentioned first among the three pillars of the church, see Gal. 2:9. He was the leader in Jerusalem, see Acts 12:17, until he was stoned to death in 62 AD at the request of the high priest. James was the half-brother of Jesus, see Gal. 1:19, and became a believer only after Jesus' resurrection, see 1 Cor 15:7.]
