First letter to the Corinthians 15:4

That he was buried.
[Isaiah also writes about this, see Isa. 53:9.]
That on the third day he would rise again and now lives,
just as the Scriptures foretold. [David wrote about this 1,000 years before Jesus was born, see Ps. 16:10.]
[Verses 3-4 form an early creed: Jesus died for our sins – was buried, rose again, and lives today!]
