First letter to the Corinthians 16:16

Therefore, follow the example of such people and all others who work together and struggle (work hard) with them.
[Stephen's family, whom Paul also mentions at the beginning of the letter, see 1 Cor. 1:16, were among the first to come to faith in Corinth. Paul was the one who baptized them. Stephen was probably one of the wealthier members of the congregation, with his own household, slaves, and servants. He is held up as an example of someone who, instead of exploiting his social position for his own purposes, used his position to help others.]
