First letter to Timothy 5:9

To be counted as a church widow (registered widow) [to be included on the list of widows who are to receive support], she must
be at least sixty years old
and have been the wife of one husband.
[The term "the wife of one man" corresponds to the expression "the husband of one wife," see 1 Tim 3:2. The word probably refers to fidelity to her husband, and not to the woman having been married only once, since Paul encourages remarriage in the event of death, see verse 14. Sixty years was the age at which one was considered old in ancient times.]
