Revelation 13:3

One of its heads appeared to have been slaughtered and killed, but its mortal wound had been healed.
[An evil imitation of the Lamb of God who was slaughtered but rose again, see Rev 5:6. The healed wound on the head suggests that there was a previous battle between the beast and the Lamb. Once again, there is a connection to the ancient prophecy against the serpent from Gen. 3:15 "he will attack your head." This probably happened when Jesus rose from the dead.]
The whole earth marveled at the beast and followed it.
