Revelation 8:12

The fourth angel blew [his trumpet].
Then a third of the sun
and a third of the moon
and a third of the stars were struck,
so that a third of them were darkened
and the day lost a third of its light,
and the night likewise.
[The darkening of the sun resembles the ninth plague when Egypt is struck by three days of darkness, see Ex. 10:21–23.]
