But when Sanballat the Horonite, Tobiah the Ammonite (Hebr. Tovijaho), the officials, and Geshem the Arab heard this, they laughed and despised us and said, "What are you doing? Are you going to rebel against the king?"
It happened that when it was reported to Sanballat and Tobiah (Hebr. Tovijaho) and to Geshem the Arab, and to the rest of our enemies, that I had rebuilt the wall and that there were no more breaches in it, even though at that time I had not yet set the doors in the gates,

But they thought they would harm me there.
