That which was from [the] beginning, that which we have heard, that which we have seen with the eyes of us, that which we have gazed upon and the hands of us handled, concerning the Word of life —

was made manifest,,

bear witness,,

we proclaim

was revealed

and the life was made manifest, and we have seen and bear witness, and we proclaim to you the life eternal which was with the Father and was revealed to us —

And is this the message that we have heard from Him, and we preach to you, that God light is, and darkness in Him, not is none.
6 εἴπωμεν
we shall say

κοινωνίαν
fellowship

περιπατῶμεν,

ψευδόμεθα
we lie

ποιοῦμεν
do practice

ἀλήθειαν·
truth..

If we shall say that fellowship we have with Him, and yet in the darkness may walk, we lie and not do practice the truth.

περιπατῶμεν
we shall walk
peripatomen
κοινωνίαν
fellowship

ἀλλήλων
one another,,

καθαρίζει
cleanses
katharizei
If now in the light we shall walk as He is in the light, fellowship we have with one another, and the blood of Jesus, the Son of Him, cleanses us from all sin.
8 εἴπωμεν
we shall say

ἔχομεν,
we have,,
echomen,
πλανῶμεν
we deceive,,
planomen
If we shall say that sin not we have, ourselves we deceive, and the truth not is in us.
9 ὁμολογῶμεν
we shall confess
omologomen
ἁμαρτίας
[our] sins,,
amartias
καθαρίσῃ
may cleanse
katharise
ἀδικίας.
unrighteousness..
adikias.
If we shall confess the sins of us, faithful He is and just, that He may forgive us [our] sins, and may cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
10 εἴπωμεν
we shall say
eipomen
ἡμαρτήκαμεν,
we have sinned,,
emartekamen,
If we shall say that not we have sinned, a liar we make Him, and the word of Him not is in us.
